PM Shehbaz Sharif to Embark on Three-Day Official Visit to Malaysia


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on a three-day official visit to Malaysia, starting tomorrow, at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister’s itinerary includes bilateral talks with his Malaysian counterpart, focusing on key regional and global developments. The discussions will cover a wide range of topics, including trade, IT, telecom, the Halal industry, investment, education, energy, infrastructure, digital economy, and enhancing people-to-people connections.



The leaders are also expected to witness the signing of several Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to enhance cooperation in both existing and new sectors. This visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to fortifying its relationship with Malaysia and highlights the importance both countries place on collaboration for peace, stability, trade, investment, and sustainable development.



A high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, several Federal Ministers, and senior government officials, will accompany Prime Minister Sharif. The visit reflects the strong and enduring strategic partnership between Pakistan and Malaysia, founded on mutual respect, shared interests, and robust cooperation across a broad spectrum of sectors.
