All the arrangements have been finalized to hold by-election on national assembly constituency NA-249, Karachi West-11 on Thursday.
The seat had fallen vacant after Federal Minister Faisal Wavda had resigned.
Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh Aijaz Anwar Chouhan has said by-elections in the constituency will be held as per announced date and schedule election.
Strict implementation of coronavirus SOPs during the by-poll has also been ordered.
There are total 339,591 registered voters in the constituency which include 201,656 male and 137,935 female voters. As many as 276 polling stations consisting of 796 polling booths will be set up for by-elections of them 458 for male and 338 for female voters.
The election campaign in the constituency would be culminated at midnight fa between April 27 and 28 April.
Almost all the major political parties including Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf, Paksitan peoples party, Pakistan Muslim League (N), MQM Pakistan have fielded their candidates and electioneering in the constituency by all the candidates is getting momentum with each and every passing day.
