Balochistan government is striving for uplift of Agriculture sector so that the province could be made self-sufficient in production of various food grains.
An official of Provincial Agriculture Department told Radio Pakistan Quetta during a conversation today (Monday) that for this purpose, 8.7 billion rupees have been allocated in the provincial budget for new fiscal year 2018-19.
He said construction of market squares in Qilla Saifullah and Uthal areas would soon be completed at a cost of 500 million rupees.
Besides, government agriculture farms would be made functional in eighteen different districts of the province at a cost of more than 280 million rupees.
Similarly, construction work on an Agriculture Training Institute in Quetta city has recently been started and completion of the project would cost 500 million rupees.
