Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed the law enforcement agencies to launch an indiscriminate crackdown against elements spreading sectarianism in the province through social media.
He issued these directions while chairing a meeting of Punjab Cabinet Committee on Law and Order in Lahore to review the security arrangements during Muharram ul Haram.
Usman Buzdar ordered confiscation of literature inciting religious hatred and also directed for taking action against those who make provocative speeches.
He urged the elected representatives and people to play an effective role to promote religious harmony and brotherhood during Muharram ul Haram.
