Jeddah, (IINA) - The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network released on Monday the World Happiness Report 2017 rankings, based on data from the Gallup World Poll.
The report, which aims to shed focus on the social foundations of happiness for individuals and nations, interviewed roughly 3,000 respondents in each of more than 150 countries, asking them to evaluate their current lives.
On the level of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, the UAE came first, with its global rank placing it at 21st.
Several members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) followed, with Qatar placing 35th, Saudi Arabia 37th, Kuwait on 39th, and Bahrain placing 41st. The last member of the GCC, Oman, was not included in the report.
