Amman Jordanian King Abdullah II received on Wednesday Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum and reviewed with him bilateral ties and ways to further boost them in various fields.
In a meeting at Al Husainiyah Palace here in the presence of Prince Faisal bin al-Hussein, the King highlighted the strong ties between Amman and Abu Dhabi, voicing the Kingdom's desire to promote economic and trade cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The King voiced his appreciation of the support and aid provided by the UAE, under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to enable the Kingdom to implement development programs, as well as the military aid, according to Petra news.
Besides, the Jordanian King praised the role of Al Maktoum Foundation in supporting small- and medium-sized projects in Jordan.
The meeting also touched on the investment privileges and competitiveness that Jordan's economy enjoys, mainly in transport, health, and energy fields.
For his part, Sheikh Hamdan voiced his country's keenness to cement ties with the Kingdom in various fields of cooperation, stressing the Foundation's desire to support projects that aim at creating job opportunities for Jordanian youth.
