Jeddah, (IINA) - The Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Political Affairs Ambassador Abdullah Abdurrahman Alim received on Wednesday the Adviser to President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on Religious Affairs Mohammad Qasim Halimi and his accompanying delegation.
Halimi expressed his high appreciation of OIC's efforts in addressing the challenges facing the Muslim world and its support for his country's causes.
For his part, Ambassador Alim affirmed the OIC's continued support to Afghanistan's unity, security, and stability and the preservation of its territorial integrity.
He also pointed to the importance of the International Ulema Conference that is to be held on peace and security in Afghanistan in contributing to the country's national reconciliation.
