Special Assistant to PM on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar says the Prime Minister is personally committed to ensure that no one goes to bed hungry in Pakistan and Ehsaas is working hard to realize this vision.
She was speaking at a opening ceremony of the second Langar Khana at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences in collaboration with Saylani Welfare Trust in Islamabad today (Friday).
She said under the Ehsaas framework, the government is mainly extending logistic support to Langars through a strategic approach and is playing its role is by setting safety and quality standards.
On this occasion, Special Assistant on Health, Dr. Zafar Mirza said Langar Khana will serve two meals a day to at least 1,000 persons including patients and their attendants at PIMS as per the vision of the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said we are establishing Langar Khanas and Panahgahs at the hospitals to facilitate the attendants of the patients.
Dr Zafar Mirza added that it is the top priority of the government to strengthen the weaker segments of the society.
