Punjab government has decided to expand scope of underground rain water storage project across the province.
The decision was taken at a meeting in Lahore today (Thursday) with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in the chair.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said the stored water will be used for horticulture and it can also be used for drinking after purifying.
He said underground storage tank has been already constructed in Lahore to store 1.4 million gallons of water.
Usman Buzdar also directed Housing Department to complete the public welfare projects within stipulated time.
