The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with three centers of excellence in Islamic finance for the promotion and development of Islamic capital markets.
The signing ceremony with LUMS, IBA and IMS was held in Islamabad on Friday.
The three Centers of Excellence in Islamic Finance agreed to make joint and collaborative efforts for the development of a vibrant Islamic capital market.
The MOU covers the areas of mutual collaboration in developing programs for training and education in Islamic finance, facilitating exchange of resources and technical expertise, and to undertake joint research and development.
