Gilgit-Baltistan Minister for Food Muhammad Shafique has said that sufficient wheat stocks are available to meet the demand of the masses in Gilgit Baltistan.
Talking to Radio Pakistan Correspondent Ijaz Hussain in Islamabad on Sunday, he said that uninterrupted wheat supply on subsidized rates will be continued to the people of Gilgit Baltistan.
He said that Gilgit Baltistan government is taking concrete measures to facilitate the farmers of the region to improve wheat crop production in the region.
The Food Minister said that the government is providing high quality wheat seed to the farmers and will purchase the produce at support price of four thousand rupees per bag.
