Caretaker govt will ensure implementation of polls date: Info Minister

Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi says we will ensure the date given for holding free, fair and transparent elections.

Talking to a private TV channel on Tuesday, he said all registered political parties will be treated equally till the conduct of elections.

The Minister said it is responsibility of the Election Commission to ensure equal opportunities for all parties. He said if a political party feels that it is being discriminated, then it should approach the Election Commission or the court of law.

Regarding the arrest of the PTI leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, Murtaza Solangi said he was arrested under an FIR and the police had the authority to arrest him.
