Info Minister calls for cementing Pakistan-Kazakhstan ties


Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has expressed Pakistan’s strong desire to promote cultural ties with Kazakhstan.

Addressing an event in connection with the screening of film Kazakh Khanate-Golden throne, in Islamabad today, he said both the countries enjoy a lot of commonalities rooted in history and culture.

Attaullah Tarar emphasized the importance of greater exchanges between the two countries in the field of media and culture. He was confident that this will help our people understand each other’s culture and diversity.

The Information Minister said Pakistan used to take great pride in its dramas, songs and films which were also appreciated worldwide. He said we have a great legacy.

He said Pakistan is producing a Pakistani series of Netflix which is being made in Italy. He said we will encourage the private sector to come forward and play its role for promotion of entertainment industry.

Economy growing owing to govt’s prudent economic policies: Tarar


Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says the national economy is on a growth trajectory due to the prudent economic policies of the present government.

Talking to newsmen in Lahore, he said today’s Special Investment Facilitation Council meeting conveyed a message that the federation and provincial units are on the same page.

He informed that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assured complete cooperation during the meeting. He said the federal and provincial governments are united for the country’s development.

Attaullah Tarar thanked all the Chief Ministers for their participation in the meeting.

He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif categorically stated that Pakistan seeks trade not aid.

Acting President calls for immediate end to Gaza bloodshed


Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has urged the United Nations Security Council and the international community to take measures to end Israel’s brutal campaign, protect civilians, and hold Israel accountable for its brutalities and gross human rights violations committed against Palestinians.

In a statement, he appreciated the ruling of International Court of Justice, ordering Israel to halt its military offensive in Rafah and ensure uninterrupted humanitarian access to Gaza.

Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani called for the implementation of ICJ’s orders by Israel to stop further bloodshed.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Palestinians’ right to self-determination and an independent, sovereign and viable state with pre-1967 borders.

Acting President terms economic stability govt’s topmost priority


Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has said that the stability of the national economy is government’s topmost priority.

Presiding over a meeting in Multan, he said benefits of uplift projects must reach people without delay.

He directed the officials to ensure that the projects are completed within the stipulated period.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani said in the upcoming federal budget, proposals are being compiled to provide relief to the people.
