Gilgit: The 78th Liberation Day of Gilgit Baltistan is set to be celebrated tomorrow, marking a significant event in the region's history. Festivities will include flag hoisting ceremonies across all districts, prominently at locations in Gilgit and Skardu. According to Radio Pakistan, the central ceremony will take place at Chinar Bagh in Gilgit, a site of historical importance. In addition to this, the Pakistan Army will host a special ceremony to honor the martyrs and ghazis who played a pivotal role in the liberation struggle of Gilgit Baltistan. Recognizing the importance of this day, the Gilgit Baltistan government has declared a public holiday to allow residents to participate in the commemorations and pay homage to their history.
