Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has emphasized the significance of strengthening relations between Pakistan and Qatar, highlighting the potential to further expand bilateral relations in areas of mutual benefit. He conveyed these thoughts during a meeting with the Ambassador of Qatar, Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater, in Islamabad. According to Radio Pakistan, the Acting President noted the vast opportunities for enhancing economic and trade relations between the two nations. He encouraged Qatari companies to capitalize on Pakistan's investment-friendly environment, which is poised to welcome foreign investments. The Ambassador, acknowledging Pakistan as a business-friendly country, mentioned that Qatar's Minister for Investment is planning a visit to Pakistan soon. The delegation aims to explore investment opportunities across various sectors, which is expected to bolster economic ties between the countries. Additionally, the Ambassador expressed optimism regarding Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's recent visit to Qatar, hoping that it would lead to a deepening of investment relations between Pakistan and Qatar.
