Islamabad: Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has emphasized Pakistan's demand for the Afghan Taliban regime to ensure that Afghan soil is not used for terrorism inside Pakistan. He stated that this is Pakistan's primary demand from Afghanistan, and fulfilling it could resolve many issues. If Afghanistan fails to address this concern, Pakistan is prepared to take necessary measures.

According to Radio Pakistan, the DG ISPR highlighted Pakistan's right to self-defense if the Taliban regime does not comply with its commitments under the Doha Agreement, which includes preventing the use of Afghan territory for terrorist activities. He clarified that Pakistan's issue is not with Afghanistan or its people but with the Taliban regime, which is not inclusive and continues to support terrorist groups.

The DG ISPR revealed that a significant portion of suicide bombers are Afghan nationals and that these individuals are part of terrorist formations attempting to infiltrate Pakistan from Afghanistan. He noted that terrorists in Balochistan lack public support and are attempting to enforce their ideology through violence. Their aim is to keep Balochistan underdeveloped, fearing that prosperity would liberate the people.

He also accused India of sponsoring terrorism and orchestrating social media campaigns from abroad. He reiterated Pakistan's firm policy of not negotiating with terrorists, stating that Pakistan deals with them decisively.

Discussing the situation in the Middle East, the DG ISPR mentioned ongoing communication between Pakistani and Saudi leaderships. He assured that Pakistan's commitment to Saudi Arabia's security is unconditional and deeply rooted in a historic bond. Pakistan is prepared to take any necessary actions to ensure the security of the Harmain Sharifain, honoring its commitments under the Mecca Defence Agreement and the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement with Saudi Arabia.
