Islamabad: Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has assured the federal government's full support for enhancing local energy production and promoting foreign investment. He gave this assurance while talking to representatives of international energy companies, which called on him separately in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, those who called on the Federal Minister included Gregory Bloom, the President of American energy company Morgan Hughes Energy, Ahmed Waleed, the CEO of Tejara Capital, and Karen Gallagher, the CEO of Vitol Asia. Morgan Hughes Energy and Tejara Capital are working together on mineral projects in Balochistan.

During the meetings, the representatives of international energy companies agreed on investment in Pakistan's energy and critical minerals sectors. Speaking on the occasion, the President of Morgan Hughes Energy showed his keen interest in making investments to increase the production of Pakistan's existing oil and gas fields.

In his meeting with the CEO of Vitol Asia, Ali Pervaiz Malik congratulated Vitol Asia on the successful start of bunkering operations in Gwadar. He said Vitol Asia will enjoy the government's complete support for its project to convert high-sulfur fuel oil into very low-sulfur fuel oil. The meeting also reviewed the opportunities available under Pakistan's new bonded storage policy.
