Minister for Privatization, Abdul Aleem Khan has said all the stakeholders would be taken on board in the exploration and cutting of precious gems and stones. Presiding over a meeting of the Steering Committee on Gems and Stones in Islamabad, he expressed the government's commitment for uplift of precious gems and stones industry through revamping its infrastructure. The Minister said in the first phase, the Committee will review the possibilities to make functional the existing institutions established regarding precious stones in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and also make convert them into Center of Excellence.
