Islamabad: Minister for States and Frontier Regions Engineer Amir Muqam has condemned the manhandling of protesting teachers by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government. He was addressing a news conference, along with Member of the National Assembly Mubarak Zeb, in Islamabad this evening. According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister criticized the actions and statements of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government as being contradictory. He pointed out that while the Chief Minister of the province acknowledges protest as a constitutional right, there are threats of punitive actions such as suspensions against teachers. Amir Muqam stated that this approach towards teachers was unacceptable and reaffirmed his party's commitment to advocating for teachers' rights. During the news conference, Mubarak Zeb also expressed his concerns, highlighting the failure of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government to arrest the assassins of his brother despite eight months having passed. He also mentioned that the Federal Government is planning to a nnounce a special package for the development of the Bajaur district.
