Islamabad: Analysts have praised Pakistan's strategic approach to diplomacy amid the ongoing Middle East conflict, highlighting its efforts to mediate and maintain neutrality. As tensions rise in the region, the country's diplomatic stanc is being closely watched. According to Radio Pakistan, Defence Analyst AVM (R) Ijaz Malik emphasized the significance of the recent Corps Commanders' Conference, noting its critical timing given the current state of war involving Pakistan and its neighboring regions. Malik highlighted the proactive role of Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in peace restoration efforts. The conference also addressed India's provocative statements against Pakistan, with discussions focused on maintaining security and neutrality. Malik pointed out that while Pakistan enjoys strong relationships with several key players in the conflict, it remains impartial, notably keeping a distance from Israel. The nation's primary aim is to foster regional peace and mitigate threats, par ticularly from potential US and Israeli actions against Iran. Former diplomat Amb. Waheed Ahmad expressed concern over recent developments, particularly an Iranian strike on a Saudi energy facility. Ahmad stressed the importance of avoiding actions that could exacerbate the situation, as peace talks are ongoing. He warned against US threats to Iran, suggesting they pose significant risks to regional stability. Ahmad also criticized President Trump's rhetoric, describing it as being influenced by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who appears to favor a broader regional conflict. Ahmad cautioned that certain Arab and Gulf countries might be aligning too closely with Israeli interests, potentially complicating efforts to resolve the conflict.
