Faisalabad: Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb has stressed the need for a fully digitalized taxation system to eliminate tax leakages. He was addressing the business community at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister underlined the importance of the private sector and said it has to lead the economy to put Pakistan on a growth trajectory. He emphasized that the government is encouraging the construction sector but that the system of buying and selling files would not be allowed.

Aurangzeb mentioned that the record of every individual is available with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), which would be integrated to eliminate leakage of taxes. Later, the Minister performed the soft launch of Faisalabad Expo by cutting a ribbon.
