Bahrain Lauds Pakistan Armed Forces’ Role in Regional Peace

Rawalpindi: Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, in Rawalpindi today. The meeting focused on mutual interests, the regional security environment, and potential for enhanced bilateral defence and security cooperation.

According to Radio Pakistan, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the longstanding relations between Pakistan and Bahrain, emphasizing the importance of strengthening military-to-military collaboration. Earlier, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa also met separately with Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.

At the Naval Headquarters, discussions centered on bilateral defence collaboration and regional security dynamics. The Bahraini commander commended the Pakistan Navy for its role in advancing cooperative maritime security across the region.

During the meeting at Air Headquarters, the focus was on the Pakistan Air Force's modernization efforts, encompassing capability enhancement, infrastructure development, indigenization, and advanced training reforms. Discussions also covered emerging defence technologies, such as drones, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and evolving air defence challenges.

The Bahraini commander praised the professionalism, operational readiness, and contributions of Pakistan's Armed Forces towards regional peace and stability. He also expressed interest in further cooperation in training, emerging technologies, and capacity-building initiatives, acknowledging the modernization initiatives and indigenous capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
