Jhelum: Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani visited the flood-affected areas of Jhelum to assess damages and oversee relief and rehabilitation efforts. During his visit, he engaged with the local community and officials to ensure the effectiveness of the response measures being implemented.

According to Radio Pakistan, Bilal Kayani informed the media that a comprehensive and transparent survey has commenced across Punjab, including Jhelum. This survey aims to accurately estimate the losses caused by the recent torrential rains and flash floods, ensuring that the victims receive proper compensation. He emphasized the importance of a fair process in assessing the damages to support those impacted by the disaster.

While assessing the on-ground situation, Kayani was accompanied by officials from the revenue, agriculture, and livestock departments. These officials were actively recording the losses as reported by the citizens, allowing for a thorough evaluation of the impact on various sectors. The presence of these officials underscores the government's commitment to addressing the needs of those affected by the floods.

Bilal Azhar Kayani urged affected individuals to register their damages at the established relief camps. This registration process is designed to expedite the assistance provided to victims, ensuring timely support and rehabilitation for those who have suffered losses due to the floods.
