Jhelum: Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani visited the flood-affected areas of Jhelum to assess damages and oversee relief and rehabilitation efforts. According to Radio Pakistan, Bilal Kayani informed the media that a comprehensive and transparent survey has commenced across Punjab, including Jhelum. This survey aims to accurately estimate the losses caused by the recent torrential rains and flash floods, ensuring that the victims receive proper compensation. He emphasized the importance of a fair process in assessing the damages to support those impacted by the disaster.
While assessing the on-ground situation, Kayani was accompanied by officials from the revenue, agriculture, and livestock departments. These officials were actively recording the losses as reported by the citizens, allowing for a thorough evaluation of the impact on various sectors.
