Islamabad: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza attended the commemoration ceremony of the 98th founding day of the People's Liberation Army of China as a Chief Guest in Islamabad. In his address, he extended profound felicitations to the people of China, its military leadership, and all ranks of the People's Liberation Army.

According to Radio Pakistan, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza commended the PLA's pivotal role under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping in China's remarkable development and rapid modernization. He highlighted China as a stabilizing factor in the regional security dynamics.

The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee appreciated the enduring and time-tested "Iron-clad brotherhood" between Pakistan and China, emphasizing the shared resolve to broaden and deepen this unique relationship across all domains. He also reiterated Pakistan's unwavering commitment to the security of Chinese nationals working in Pakistan and advancing collaboration on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, strengthening defense ties, and promoting regional harmony and development.
