SHANGHAI: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, currently on an official visit to China, toured the Shanghai Experimental School and the Chinese Academy of Sciences to explore advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) education for young students. Her visit focused on understanding the integration of AI into educational curricula and observing firsthand the innovative teaching methods employed in these institutions. According to Radio Pakistan, Chief Minister Nawaz observed classrooms, reviewed student projects, and engaged with the educators at the Shanghai Experimental School. The institution, dedicated to teaching children aged 12 to 15 about AI, provides free education and introduces students to modern AI techniques. The school aims to equip young learners with the skills necessary for the rapidly evolving technological landscape. During her visit to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chief Minister Nawaz examined the collaborative initiatives between the academy and educational institutions in fostering AI education. Her tour is part of a broader effort to enhance educational methodologies in Punjab by adopting successful models from global institutions.
