Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed the officials to set up a database regarding Punjab's population. She stated this while chairing a meeting in Lahore today. During the meeting, suggestions and recommendations were reviewed for the database hub and database authority. Progress on the Punjab Social Economic Registry Project was also reviewed during the session. She said that the establishment of Punjab's initial database aims to assist in the formulation of economic policy. She said that access to comprehensive data will facilitate ease in the social protection programs. She added that real relief to deserving citizens will be expedited through a comprehensive and documented data hub. She said that the data bank will include economic and social information about every individual and household in Punjab.
