The Apex Committee meeting, chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was held in Lahore today. During the meeting, comprehensive measures for national security in accordance with the National Action Plan were reviewed. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister Punjab said government is well aware of the sensitivity of Muharram and are examining every matter carefully. She directed that RPOs and DPOs across Punjab should personally check the security of the gatherings. Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed the ministers to be present in the central control room during Muharram ul Harram and every procession and gathering will be monitored through live streaming. She assured that every effort is being made to make the security of Chinese nationals and other foreigners foolproof. Source: Radio Pakistan
