Berakas: The Language and Literature Bureau has launched a new cookbook titled 'Dapogh Waghis Kaih' with the aim of promoting Brunei's culture through its culinary traditions. The event took place at the International Convention Centre on the morning of August 24.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the inauguration of the cookbook was graced by Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Awang Asbi, the wife of the Minister of Religious Affairs, alongside Datin Dayang Hajah Kalshom binti Haji Suhaili, the wife of the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. This cookbook represents the third installment in the series 'Collection of Traditional Cuisine from Brunei's 7 Ethnic Groups.'
Also in attendance was Doctor Dayang Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, the Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The book aims to highlight Brunei's rich culinary history and the diverse flavors of its ethnic groups.
