Karachi: The 5th death anniversary of the renowned comedian, artist, writer, and poet Athar Shah Khan, famously known as Jaidi, is being observed today. Khan passed away on this day in 2020 in Karachi after a prolonged illness. According to Radio Pakistan, Athar Shah Khan began his illustrious career as a writer over six decades ago at Radio Pakistan, where he penned approximately 700 plays over 20 years. His legendary portrayal of 'Jaidi' in the television show "Intizar Farmaiye" on PTV cemented his status as a household name across the country. Khan's other popular works include "Hello Hello," "Ba Adab Ba Mulahiza Hoshiyar," "Haye Jaidi," "Burger Family," "Jaidi in Trouble," "Laakhon Mein Teen," and "Problem House." His contributions to the arts have left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry and continue to be celebrated by fans and peers alike.
