Lahore: The 20th death anniversary of famous ghazal singer, Parvez Mehdi, was observed on Friday. He was born on August 14, 1947, in Lahore.
According to Radio Pakistan, Parvez Mehdi received musical training from JA Farooq and Mehdi Hassan. The government of Pakistan awarded him the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. During his thirty-year career, Parvez Mehdi sang hundreds of songs and died on this day in 2005 at the age of 58 in Lahore.
