The concluding ceremony to distribute prizes among the officers for showing best performance during Desilting Campaign was organized jointly by Green Pakistan Initiative and Land Information and Management System. The Desilting Campaign was started in Punjab in January this year, during which irrigation system of 22,000 miles canal land was cleaned. During this campaign, 1.3 to 1.4 million acres of land was irrigated. GPI and LIMS monitored the Desilting process with satellite and drones and played their full role along with irrigation department for gaining positive results. Source: Radio Pakistan
