DPM Chairs Preparatory Meeting Ahead of Pak-UAE Ministerial Commission

Abu Dhabi: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the preparatory meeting of the Pakistani delegation in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday ahead of the twelfth session of the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission. The meeting reviewed the detailed agenda of the JMC and assessed progress on various bilateral engagements.

According to Radio Pakistan, discussions focused on priority areas, including trade, investment, energy, telecommunications, and employment opportunities for Pakistani workers in the UAE. The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of the participating ministries and departments for their active involvement and stressed the importance of translating dialogue into tangible outcomes.

He expressed confidence that the twelfth JMC would lead to concrete measures for strengthening bilateral cooperation and institutional linkages between Pakistan and the UAE. The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Special Secretary EAD, and Pakistan's Ambassador to the UAE, Secretaries of Commerce, Interior, Overseas Pakistanis, IT and SIFC, and Additional Secretaries from Ministry of Food Security and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
