Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has expressed deep sadness over the tragic ferry accident off Girne in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. In a post on X, he extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar said our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected, as well as the missing persons and their loved ones. He emphasized that Pakistan stands in solidarity with the people of Trkiye and Northern Cyprus during this difficult hour.

Ishaq Dar also prayed for the success of the ongoing search and rescue operations, highlighting the importance of efforts to locate and assist any remaining victims.
