DPM Welcomes Pak-US Cooperation in Multiple Sectors

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has welcomed growing engagement between Pakistan and the United States, and the expansion of cooperation across multiple fields. This development was highlighted during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Paul Kapur, in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional developments. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the current momentum in Pakistan-US relations. Ishaq Dar appreciated President Donald Trump's vision for peace, the Iran-US ceasefire understanding, and the visit of US Vice President JD Vance to Pakistan. He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to resolving issues through dialogue and diplomacy.

He also underscored the importance of regular high-level exchanges and sustained structured dialogue. Speaking on the occasion, the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Paul Kapur, acknowledged Pakistan's role in regional mediation and noted the positive trajectory in bilateral relations. Both sides agreed to further strengthen collaboration in trade, investment, and development.
