Lahore: Vice Chancellor of Government Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum has praised Radio Pakistan for its vital role in fostering unity, cohesion, and harmony across the country through its diverse transmissions.
According to Radio Pakistan, during her visit to Radio Pakistan Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum was warmly received by Controller News and Current Affairs (Punjab), Mr. Sajjad Parvez, along with members of the news staff. Speaking on the occasion, she paid tribute to Radio Pakistan for its longstanding efforts in preserving and promoting the nation's rich heritage, including customs, traditions, music, literature, and performing arts at both national and international levels. She described the organization as the true voice of the nation.
The Vice Chancellor also toured the picture gallery of Radio Pakistan Lahore, where she viewed historic photographs of national icons from the fields of music, literature, and current affairs which have been associated with the station since independence. Controller News Sajjad Parvez briefed the Vice Chancellor on Radio Pakistan's modern outreach, highlighting its availability through mobile apps and social media platforms, including video podcasts and live audio-video streaming. On this occasion, an exclusive interview with Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum was also recorded for broadcast.
