Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the development of effective policy measures aimed at boosting exports and enhancing domestic production of industrial goods is among the government's top priorities. This assertion was made during a review meeting held in Islamabad today, focusing on sectoral reforms and policy strategies intended to increase investment and stimulate overall economic growth.
According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the critical importance of promoting industry and manufacturing, as well as attracting foreign investment, to ensure the sustainable advancement of the national economy. He stressed that reforms across industry, trade, and various economic sectors must be oriented towards achieving long-term economic benefits and improving public welfare.
The Prime Minister also discussed the ongoing efforts to develop a comprehensive strategy to meet future energy needs through alternative energy sources. He underscored the necessity of implementing a thorough and effective Electric Vehicles (EV) Policy to promote energy conservation and provide affordable transportation options in the country.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Sharif called for all ministries to collaborate closely and harmonize their efforts to devise and execute effective development policies. He reiterated that administrative transparency and optimal performance in all reform initiatives remain the government's foremost priority.
