Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North has completed the decoration and renovation of the famous Pashto poet Amir Hamza Baba's shrine. To pay tribute to the services of Amir Hamza, FC KPK organized a grand ceremony at his shrine. Major General Inspector General Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North was the chief guest of the event. Amir Hamza Baba Shinwari was born in 1907 in Landi Kotal area of Khyber district. He was given the title of Baba e Pashto Ghazal and Sufi Saint. Even in the freedom movement, he created enthusiasm among the youth with his poetry. After the establishment of Pakistan, he joined Radio Pakistan and devoted his life for the preservation of Pashto language and culture. Source: Radio Pakistan
