The Frontier Corps North and Customs Department carried out a joint operation at Torkham Border and foiled an attempt to smuggle illegal weapons from Afghanistan to Pakistan. The illegal weapons were seized from two cargo vehicles during the search operation at Torkham Border. The weapons included three M-16 rifles, two Beretta pistols, four-thousand rounds of AK 47, eight bolts of AK 47 and forty springs, five pistol magazines, eight-thousand rounds of 9 mm pistol and one pistol without barrel. The FC North arrested the drivers and handed over them along with the seized weapons to the Customs officials for further legal action. Source: Radio Pakistan
