Federal Government Declares Three-Day Public Holidays for Eid-ul-Adha

Islamabad: The Federal Government has announced a three-day public holiday period in observance of Eid-ul-Adha, commencing on Tuesday. This decision was communicated through a notification from the Cabinet Division, indicating that the Prime Minister has approved the declaration of public holidays on the 26th, 27th, and 28th of May 2026, which fall on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday respectively.

According to Radio Pakistan, Eid-ul-Adha is set to be celebrated nationwide on the 27th of the month, which is a Wednesday. The announcement aims to facilitate citizens in celebrating the festival with their families and communities, recognizing the cultural and religious significance of Eid-ul-Adha.
