Field Marshal and Saudi Defence Minister Address Security Concerns Amid Iranian Tensions

Riyadh: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman during his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Both leaders engaged in discussions about the pressing security situation related to Iranian drone and missile attacks on Saudi territory. They explored joint measures to address these threats within the framework of the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement.

According to Radio Pakistan, the dialogue underscored that such unprovoked aggression jeopardizes regional security and stability, potentially closing avenues for peaceful dispute resolutions. The discussions highlighted the need for a collective and strategic response to these challenges, emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation in defense initiatives.

There was an expressed hope that Iran, as a brotherly nation, would demonstrate wisdom and caution to prevent any miscalculations. Both sides conveyed their desire for Iran to support friendly countries' efforts in seeking a peaceful resolution to the ongoing crisis, thereby contributing to the broader stability of the region.
