Finance Minister Outlines Economic Stabilization Plans

Karachi:Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has pledged the government's dedication to strengthening and stabilizing the national economy through a series of structural reforms.

According to Radio Pakistan, Aurangzeb emphasized the importance of broadening the tax net, promoting the private sector, and attracting foreign investment as key strategies for economic growth.

During a speech at the Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi, he highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to facilitate the private sector in leading a growth-driven economy.

Aurangzeb noted that the national economy is on the right track, crediting the government's prudent policies for the increase in the number of taxpayers. The number of tax filers has risen to over 5.7 million from approximately 3.9 million the previous year.

He also discussed government initiatives aimed at boosting investment and financing opportunities, including the Apna Ghar scheme, which has disbursed approximately 60 billion rupees.
