Islamabad:First Lady Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari has emphasized the importance of breast health and urged women to seek medical advice if they observe any unusual changes. According to Radio Pakistan, the First Lady delivered this message at the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She highlighted that breast cancer is treatable and curable, stressing that early diagnosis and timely treatment are crucial in saving lives. Women over fifty were encouraged by the First Lady to consider regular mammograms at facilities offering screening services. She noted that over ninety percent of breast cancer cases are self-detected by individuals who do not undergo regular mammography screening, underscoring the importance of awareness regarding body changes. She urged women of all ages to incorporate breast self-examination into their regular healthcare routine and emphasized the need to recognize early signs of breast cancer and seek prompt medical attention.
