Islamabad: Foundation University Islamabad organized a flag hoisting ceremony today in connection with the Independence Day. The ceremony was part of the university's month-long Independence Day celebrations. According to Radio Pakistan, the celebrations began on the 9th of this month with a public arts initiative along the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus route and a photography exhibition. This was followed by a blood donation drive, cultural performances, and theatrical productions. The University plans a community tree plantation drive in Kotha Kalan on the 20th of this month, followed by educational outreach visits to local schools.
