Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has reaffirmed Pakistan's deep-rooted commitment to its brotherly alliance with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was speaking with Major General (Rtd) Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Sanhat Al-Harbi, the head of the Saudi Arabia Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, during a meeting in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Chairman Senate emphasized that the relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are not transactional but are based on shared faith, history, and commonalities. He highlighted the significant contribution of over 2.5 million Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia, who support the Kingdom's development and bolster Pakistan's economy through remittances.
Yousaf Raza Gilani expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continuous efforts to improve the Hajj and Umrah experience for Pakistani pilgrims. In response, Abdul Rahman bin Sanhat Al-Harbi emphasized the importance both countries place on their bilateral ties and multifaceted cooperation.
