The Government of Pakistan and Karachi Electric have signed various agreements to provide energy security to Karachi. The agreements, include Tariff Differential Subsidy Agreement and Power Purchase Agency Agreement, were signed in Islamabad today. The agreements are aimed at formalizing and securing a firm supply of power from the National Grid to Karachi up to the interconnection capacity.
