Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says we are committed to achieving land degradation neutrality and enhancing the resilience of our communities. In his message on Desertification and Drought Day 2024 that was observed today, he said we come together to emphasize the critical importance of land stewardship under the theme 'United for Land: Our Legacy. Our Future.' He said the day reminds us of our collective responsibility to protect and restore our land for the well-being of current and future generations. The Prime Minister said in Pakistan, desertification, land degradation, and drought are significant challenges that affect millions of lives. He said our government is dedicated to addressing these issues through sustainable land management practices, reforestation programs, and innovative agricultural techniques. The Prime Minister said government action alone is not enough, therefore, we must foster a collaborative approach involving all stakeholders, communities, civil society, private sector, and int ernational partners.
