Lahore: Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, has reaffirmed the government's goal to modernize the agriculture sector and improve food security through innovation and investment. Speaking at a ceremony in Lahore on Saturday, he highlighted that rice exports have seen a significant increase as a result of these measures.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized the government's commitment to supporting farmers. He said the supply of high-quality seeds is being ensured, and providing substandard seeds will not be tolerated. He also mentioned that subsidized tractors are being distributed among farmers across Punjab to improve agricultural output.
