Minister for Communications, Privatization and Investment Board Abdul Aleem Khan says the government is giving special attention to improvement of Karakoram Highway and the connected roads and motorways to promote tourism in northern areas of the country. Speaking during his visit to Gilgit, he said promotion of tourism in the area will also have positive impact on economic condition of the local people. During his visit, the Federal Minister also held a meeting with Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan and members of Gilgit-Baltistan cabinet.
