Lahore: Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has congratulated Khawaja Naseer on being elected unopposed as the president and Adnan Sheikh as the secretary of the Punjab Assembly Press Committee. In a statement, he emphasized the government's commitment to freedom of expression. According to Radio Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar highlighted the strong relationship between the Punjab Assembly's Press Gallery Committee and journalists. He assured that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting remains accessible to journalists, reinforcing the ministry's open-door policy. The Minister also stressed the importance of unbiased journalism in guiding society in a positive direction. He expressed hope that the newly-elected officials will fulfill the expectations of their fellow reporters, contributing positively to the field of journalism.
