Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has felicitated the newly-elected officials of the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA). In his statement, he extended his congratulations to the newly-elected Chairman Mian Amir Mahmood, Senior Vice Chairman Salman Iqbal, Vice Chairman Mir Ibrahim Rehman, Secretary General Shakeel Masood, Joint Secretary Ahmed Zubairi, and Finance Secretary Athar Qazi. According to Radio Pakistan, the information minister emphasized the crucial role of media as a significant pillar of the state, highlighting that a free and dynamic media is essential for strengthening democracy and promoting democratic values in the country. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the independence, growth, and development of media institutions. Attaullah Tarar also expressed his optimism that the newly-elected officials will harness their potential to advance the media industry and contribute to its growth within the country.
